Environment at Burnley Telematics?I find Burnley Telematics a place where people can learn with ease. This is due to the informal as well as formal teaching ways of the tutors. The students feel comfortable learning in the centre and therefore this improves their chances of gaining high qualifications

I ensure that the Centre runs smoothly on a day to day basis and make sure that any problems are overcome as soon as possible. Also I am the first point of contact regarding any enquiries.
Environment at Burnley Telematics?As the administrator I manage to overlook the environment during classes and I can honestly say I wish I was doing a course as It seems so informal and relaxed!! The tutors are always supporting each other therefore making life easier for each other. This also helps the learners as they manage to work in a relaxed atmosphere but still study their course at an intense level.

Environment at Burnley Telematics?The environment is very relaxed, but learners can also gain meaningful qualifications that can help them in their careers and life in general.
Any particular success stories?Many learners have gained the National Test Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy, which are important stepping stones to higher certificates at College and University. Tabitha Chadwick passed both her National Tests and the ECDL qualification and obtained a job using SAGE financial software, which is highly valued by employers. Her qualifications gained at Burnley Telematics allowed her to move up the career ladder and find better employment opportunities.

The environment with in the centre can be described as being friendly with an informal atmosphere. It is a place where learners can not only come to learn but also to meet new people who have similar interests.
Any particular success stories?Learners with in the classes have been able to gain new or update their qualification. For those learners with little confidence, the friendly atmosphere and support they have received has allowed them to gain confidence to move onto gaining a qualification in a specific area.

I have recently joined Burnley Telematics. I have been a learndirect tutor for six years, specialising in literacy. I am also a Personal Guidance Advisor, qualified to deliver information, advice and guidance.
What do you teach?I tutor English, Maths and ICT
Environment at Burnley Telematics?Learners will benefit from a professional and friendly atmosphere with supportive tutors who encourage them to achieve their goals and make progress in their chosen subjects.

I have recently joined Burnley Telematics. I have worked within learndirect for the past six years and I am a qualified A1 Assessor.
What do you teach?I assess candidates working towards Level 2 NVQs in Customer Service, Business & Administration and IT. I also support learners in numeracy & literacy.
Environment at Burnley Telematics?All the staff are very friendly and support each other. They have made me feel very welcome and helped me to settle in. The learners benefit from a relaxed atmosphere in the learning centre and as a result, work well to achieve their learning goals.

I teach at various locations covering Burnley, Rossendale and Accrington.

I have worked at Burnley Telematics since January 2008 and have worked as a Learndirect Tutor since 2003.
What do you teach?I am a qualified NVQ Assessor and work as a Learndirect Tutor supporting learners on IT courses from beginner up to ECDL and Literacy & Numeracy course up to the OCR level 2 qualifications.
Environment at Burnley Telematics?Welcoming and friendly environment in which learners are professionally supported in order to achieve their goals.
Any particular success stories?Too many to mention, hundreds of learners achieving the ECDL and level 1 and level 2 qualfications in literacy and numeracy enabling them to progress at work or into further/higher education.
