Introduction To The Company
Burnley Telematics & Teleworking Centre Ltd aims to provide training in ICT, Skill for Life, ESOL and personal development courses for individuals, organisations and companies. Our training programmes are designed to meet individual needs and are delivered at a time and place convenient to the client. We utilise modern ICT equipment consisting of up to date software packages. We employ qualified tutors and staff to deliver in-house and on site training, which are customised to individual requirements.
The company is an established Learndirect Centre offering a range of courses and qualifications in Skills for life and ICT. The Company head office is located at Northbridge House, Elm Street Business Park, Burnley, Lancashire. The Centre is a purpose built technology facility for all the communities, organisations and the businesses to access modern technologies and work related courses. The Centre provides access to Broadband Internet and Courses ranging from Confidence Building in Computers to Nationally Recognised Qualifications. Our aim is to provide opportunities for anybody interested in improving their ICT, Skills for life and employability skills as well as providing access to the Internet and email. Our projects are funded through Government’s UK ON Line Initiative, Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund, Learning and Skills Council, and UFI.

We are also working with UCLAN till 2010 on a project which involves working with young people who are not in education, employment or any other training. These sessions are called energisers. This will enable young people to have a ‘taster’ of what is available to them in terms of learning and other key skills needed in everyday life.
We have a Train to Gain Contract which is a scheme to boost your business by improving the skills of your individual staff members. Train to Gain is the national skills Service that support employers of all sizes and in all sectors to improve the skills of your employees as a route to improving your business performance. The Service offers skills advice on everything from Investors in People, basic skills through to leadership and management training.
We also provide Information and Advice on Learning and Work Opportunities to individuals, which assist them in choosing appropriate training courses and employment route. Burnley Telematics is a subcontractor of Lancashire Nextstep Advice and Guidance Network and work in partnership with other partners for the benefits of its clients.
Burnley Telematics is a UK online Centre offering flexible and informal learning environment.
Along with delivering training Burnley Telematics & Teleworking Centre Ltd is a recognised centre to deliver Nationally Recognised Qualifications which Include OCR CLAIT, ECDL (European Computer Driving License) and Open College Qualifications.
